When I was first diagnosed with breast cancer I made a conscious decision that I was not going to be upset or mope about “what ifs” and “why mes”. Instead I was going to work really hard on my mindset, focusing on positive thoughts and moving forward. Enter, inspirational quotes for breast cancer patients.
I am convinced that my positive attitude has helped my healing a lot, both physically and mentally. I have been able to cope much better emotionally and physically – pain was almost non-existent, and I have back all the mobility and strength I had pre-bilateral mastectomy, three surgeries and nine months later.
Finding the positives has also helped with my acceptance of my new boobs. The scars will never go away, but I am happy with my results so far. I can’t wait to see them finished when I get my tattoos in a few months.
While I have not always been 100% successful, my mind does wander off every now and then, I have found that having mantras and positive sayings around me has been as easy way to bring my thoughts back to where I want them to be. So print these out, put them on post-it notes or make them your screen saver. Seeing them often will help you too.

One of my favourites comes from an old children’s song by Burl Ives: “When you go through life make this your goal, watch the donut, not the hole”.
