The Breast Cancer Survival Guide

When I was first diagnosed I wanted every bit of information I could get my hands on. But we all know that Googling can lead to all sorts of false, misleading or just down right scary stuff.

Here is a book filled with practical and useful information from an oncologist.

It doesn’t have all the answers, but it will be a useful starting point to understanding many of the terms and the treatment options available.

Seatbelt Pillow

It can be many months after surgery before it’s painless to wear a seatbelt while in the car. Every bump can put pressure on an area that is sore and healing.

This is a great practical solution that will help to protect the breast area after surgery to make those inevitable car rides more comfortable. Also comes in a blue design too.

Breast Cancer Medical Alert Bracelet

One of the side effects of breast cancer treatment is the inability to have needles or BP taken from the affected side as it’s a lymphodema risk.

It’s a good idea to wear a medical alert bracelet to let medical personnel know if unable to tell them. It’s also a good reminder for those of us who tend to forget when we go to medical appointments too!

This bracelet actually has a number of options from he wording, from diabetes to pacemakers to epilepsy, so it could be bought for lots of conditions
